The CHiP Smart Oven Is Cookie Baking Overkill

The future of cookie baking is finally here: say hello to the CHiP Smart Cookie Oven. It functions like a Wi-Fi-enabled Keurig for cookies. Yes, you read that right.

All you need to do is scan the QR code on each cookie dough pod (which contains enough dough for one cookie) with the CHiP app and it will send baking instructions to the oven. CHiP uses hot air and convection fan to bake a batch of four cookies (max) in around ten minutes. Since the oven is Wi-Fi enabled, the oven will send baking notifications about your cookies straight to your phone. Because that’s information you NEED RIGHT NOW.

The CHiP will run for about $249 at retail but can be had for $99 during the Kickstarter campaign. A pod subscription will run roughly 88 cents to $2 each.

I mean, I like cookies as much as the next guy but…come on. However, if the idea of an Easy Bake Oven for adults sounds appealing to you, check out the video below to learn more.
