The Macallan distillery and watch maker Urwerk have spent the last two years designing and building a flask that’s worthy of holding the finest scotch on the planet. The result is The Flask 2—a vessel that boasts 156 parts, two titanium tanks with cask indicators, a stand and a $2500 price tag.
Composed of over 150 parts, The Macallan x URWERK Flask has purposeful complexity and intricacy at its heart; combining the beauty of design with genuine utility. Reflecting The Macallan’s inherent mastery, intricacy and individuality combined with URWERK’s unconventional design approach and revolutionary engineering, this is a statement of what can be achieved when whisky mastery meets obsessively engineered horology.
A machined aluminium, titanium and stainless steel work of art, features include two titanium tanks which allow you to carry two of your favourite Macallan whiskies, winglets that create a stand for the flask and cask indicators that enable you to track the cask type and age of the whisky in each tank.
I wonder if you filled one of the tanks with Jack Daniels, would the flask self-destruct?
The Flask 2 will be available sometime in the near future in a limited release of only 500 units. You can keep tabs on the release at The Macallan website.
