Tokyo has the Ghibli Museum, and according to Cory Doctorow, it’s an amazing place. He states that the exhibits are meant to be handled, and that there’s more of an emphasis on the contents of the museum rather than commercial side of things. It also seems like plenty of attention is given to the details. Case in point, he got this bottle of beer from a hot dog and ice cream stand, and it has an incredibly beautiful Miyazaki-inspired label. The art is reminiscent of Ghibli, and I’d want to peel it off and keep it.
