Ramen and beer—the two pillars of a college student diet. Imagine how convenient it would be if these two items could be consumed as one? The Collective Brewing Project in Texas has achieved that very thing with Cup O’ Beer.
Cup O’ Beer is brewed with 55 pounds of Ramen noodles. Ginger, lime zest, lemongrass, and seaweeed-cured sea salt are added to give the starchy brew some complexity.
The beer is described as “light and tart” with a “briny, limey kick” and a side of “dorm room nostalgia”. It is currently being offered at the brewer’s Fort Worth draft room as well as select locations around the Lone Star state.
Former starving college kids, rejoice: @cbpfortworth has made a beer with ramen noodles. Additions of lime zest, ginger, coriander, lemongrass and seaweed-cured sea salt give the gose a briny, limey kick, but the starchy noodles pack the real dorm room nostalgia. Just don’t let the RA catch you drinking it.
