As previously mentioned, Mark Zable is bringing his Fried Guinness concoction to the Texas State Fair this week. But here’s the first picture of what is basically a fried beer ravioli. The recipe calls for a pocket of pretzel-like dough to be filled with Guinness and then dunked in oil for around 20 seconds.
Zable erroneously claims that he is the first to fry a liquid (people have fried all kinds of beverages, including beer), but it looks like it would be delicious nonetheless. A major contender to take home first prize in the Big Tex Choice Award this year for sure.
