The Razer Chroma-Powered Mug Holder Is Now Available To The Public

What the hell is a Razer Chroma-powered Mug Holder you ask? Basically, it’s a very unnecessary coaster that some of you might find confusingly desirable. The longer explanation goes something like this:

Powered by Razer Synapse, the limited edition Razer Mug Holder has built-in Razer Chroma lighting on the base, which syncs perfectly with all your other Razer Chroma-enabled peripherals. With intelligent detection, the base lights up when you place the mug on it, and keeps you hydrated by blinking according to an optimal drinking schedule.

So, let’s revise the original explanation a bit: the Razer Chroma Mug Holder is a very unnecessary coaster that tells gamers when to hydrate with flashing lights. Do you feel a confusing desire for this? If so, you are not alone. Originally, the mug holder was given out as a thank you gift to partners and close friends of the company. Apparently, there has been enough demand for it that Razer decided to make it available to the public in exchange for 100,000 zSilver, which can be earned by buying Razer products or by gaming with Razer Cortex.

It appears that you’ll need to do quite a bit of gaming to earn enough zSilver to get the mug holder, and it will only be available in limited quantities. However, the promotion is listed as “coming soon”, so there’s still time to rack up credits.
