ArKay Beverages has unveiled what is being touted as the first alcohol-free whiskey in the world. Dubbed simply “ArKay”, the beverage is targeted towards people with medical conditions or religious beliefs that prohibit the consumption of alcohol.

They claim that it “tastes and looks like traditional whiskey and is suitable for drinking straight-up, on the rocks or with mixers”. Even if that was true, it just seems so, so wrong. Then again, you can chug it at parties in front of your unsuspecting friends and become a legend.

ArKay will be available starting on December 1st for $10 per liter or $4 in an aluminum can.

    I gotta ask…

    Why?

Whiskey is such a nasty tasting beverage that without the alcohol, why bother?
