Starbucks fans in Connecticut really got into the holiday spirit when 450 customers on Christmas day paid for the order of the next person in line. NBC Connecticut reports that the generosity kept on going over the next few days, as apparently a thousand more drive-thru Starbucks customers jumped in on the trend.
Baristas set up a rolling fund that extra “donations” went into, which the baristas used when someone approached a drive thru with no one behind them or they didn’t want to participate. One customer told NBC Connecticut that, “It means a lot people are still looking out for other people and being caring and bringing out the holiday spirit.”
The caffeine-fueled charity even jumped over to Michigan, where a 50-car chain of generous prepayers formed at a Starbucks near Detroit.
