For many, camping doesn’t mean living off the land – it means taking portable versions of all your modern conveniences into the woods. A perfect example is this Coleman Outdoor Oven/Stove, which offers two 5,300 BTU burners and 3,000 BTU of cooking power and is powered by a 1 lb propane canister. Since it can hold a 9″x13″ baking pan, that means frozen pizza will be on the menu – which will no doubt be shared with mosquitoes and used to lure unwanted wildlife to your temporary dwelling.

Since pizza needs high heat and constant temperature to cook properly, it is unsuited to a normal grill due to opening/closing of the grill top causing variations in cooking temperatures. That’s where the KettlePizza comes in.
The Kettlepizza is an aftermarket product that fits between the kettle grill top and bottom creating a pizza oven chamber with a side opening where the food is placed. Since the grill top is not removed, the heat is allowed to build higher and remains much more stable than on a traditional grill.
Kits start at $130, and are said to work will all major brands. Hit the jump to check out a video of the KettlePizza in action.

With simplicity in mind, Adi Zaffran was able to create a functioning toaster using cement blocks rebar, wire, wood and fasteners.
“The pita bread as a staple food led me to the use of simple and basic building materials,” says Zaffran, “It is very easy to make out of ready-made cement block.”
There aren’t any details that reveal how the rebar is heated, but the presence of a cord implies electricity is involved. Check out an additional photo after the break.

This concept vending machine created by a partnership between Sanden, Okaya Electronics, and Intel offers customers more than just junk food – using a 65 inch touchscreen, transparent HD display, the machine presents a series of animations and menus in order to get the attention of those passing by. It can be used to tell the time, and even features a public safety mode that provides information in emergency situations, such as evacuation routes.
The machine also records the physical attributes of the person standing in front of the machine, in order to tailor ads to that particular demographic. The company developing the machine sees huge potential for such technology, and is looking for new and interesting ideas that will allow the device to act as more than just a way to peddle crap.

To keep the coffeemaker from taking up all your counter real estate, the designers of this TopBrewer system arranged things so only a tap shaped in a graceful arc emerges from the surface to deliver both coffee and milk. All of the machines guts are hidden inside your island or underneath your countertop, including the refrigerator, heaters, grinders and brewers.
The machine heats water for each cup in just 45 seconds, delivers a cup of coffee in 15 seconds, and a shot of espresso in 25 seconds. In addition, the TopBrewer is self-cleaning and can be operated via the user’s iPhone or iPad.
The system is still spankin’ new, so the iPhone app has not yet been released, and the price has not been announced. However, you can bet it will be a hell of a lot more than most coffee lovers are willing to spend.
