We’ve featured plenty of pancake art over the years, but what if you’re lazy and/or unskilled? Thanks to 3D printing, pancake art is becoming accessible to the masses.
The PancakeBot is a unique device that can translate just about any digital image or design into delicious pancakes. Designer Miguel Valenzuela told Fast Company that he came up with the idea for the printer after his three-year-old daughter made a request for a pancake-printing machine made out of Lego. The first prototype was exactly that.
Valenzuela started up a Kickstarter to fund the latest version of PancakeBot, and the campaign quickly blew past it’s goal. It’s fairly affordable too. Currently, a pledge of $179 or more will get you an early model. Retail pricing is expected to be $299.
