Everybody loves French fries, but let’s face it, they’re not exactly healthy. They’re rich in fat, salt and calories–they’re a nutritionist’s worst nightmare.
However, Burger King has debuted new lower fat French fry that delivers about 40 percent less fat and 30 percent fewer calories than the fries sold at McDonald’s. Roughly 70 grams of the new salty treat, named Satisfries (shudder), has 150 calories while the same amount of McDonald’s fries comes out to 226 calories. The trick is that Burger King developed a new type of batter that absorbs less fat in the frying process.
If eating healthy isn’t on your list of priorities, don’t worry—Burger King will continue to sell the full fat versions as well.
