New York City To Ban Happy Meals?

NYC Councilman Leroy Comrie has introduced legislation that would ban any restaurant from giving out toys or other trinkets out with meals that have more than 500 calories, 600 milligrams of sodium and 35 percent of calories from fat. This would exclude nuts, seeds and nut butters. If passed it would effectively strip all of the happy from a Happy Meal.

And if you think this is unlikely to happen consider this—a similar piece of legislation was passed in San Francisco last year.
