Taco Bell’s experimentation with chicken appears to be expanding with what they’re calling Volcano Crispy Chicken Chips. The offering is currently being tested in Knoxville, Tennessee.
As is the case with most of Taco Bell’s menu items, Volcano Crispy Chicken Chips is simply a flashy rebrand and remix of items that have been offered in the past. For one thing, Lava Sauce was once part of their now defunct “Volcano Menu”. Taco Bell also offered several crispy chicken items last year.
Six of the chicken chips can reportedly be had at their testing locale for $1.99, while 12 will set you back $3.99. A $5 Volcano Crispy Chicken Chips Big Box is also available which offers six chips along with a Crunchy Taco, Burrito Supreme, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium fountain drink.
