Behold The Reuben Cone

ReubenCone9

It’s tough to beat a classic Reuben sandwich–that melty Swiss cheese and corned beef is absolutely delicious. However, much like its cousin the French dip, the Reuben can be a little messy and kind of a pain to manage. Nick of Dude Foods decided to remedy the issue, and he found a way to make the tasty sandwich a bit more… efficient, so to speak: he created a Reuben cone.

His inventive approach involved taking four slices of rye bread, cutting away the crusts, arranging them so that their edges overlapped and they formed a circle, and then he flattened it all with a rolling pin. Afterwards, he took the bread circle and wrapped it around one of the paper cones that came with a waffle cone maker, and voila! Rye cone. Nick finished it off by baking the cone in an oven for 10 minutes at 400°. Once the cone was finished, he made himself one very tasty Rueben sangie. Head on over to his site to see more pics and to learn more about his recipe.
