We all know that when we buy a bag of chips it’s only going to be half full, but some dude was seriously gypped out of Dorito pleasure when he opened a bag to find that it contained only 3 chips and a “chiplete”. He photographed the evidence, and with his trusty scale, discovered that the bag only weighed .3 oz. What should you do if you encounter defective products such as this? The Consumerist explains:
if you encounter a defective food product like the one pictured above, should document its defects in writing and with photographic evidence. Note any manufacturing codes that may be on the package as well. You can then call the company’s customer service line and they will probably send you some coupons. Hang onto that evidence so you can send it to blogs.
