Those who are familiar with the older, infinitely funner episodes of The Simpsons may recall Homer’s snacking binge at the beginning of “Lisa the Greek”. Colorado production company CinemaRaven decided to reenact this bit of comedy gold in the third dimension, using a team of three people and some stop motion editing – resulting in the 9 second video after the jump.
Apparently production was hampered by the actor’s less than stellar eyesight, which made it difficult for him to follow Homer’s movements and surely contributed to the seven hour production time. Whatever the case, it was probably a cakewalk compared to animating the sequence in the original cartoon. Either way, the sequence turned out perfectly.
