A Bay County, FL animal control employee’s craving for pork cost the shelter’s head his job. Apparently one of his employees, Ivan Rogers, took the rescued pet pig named “Fluffy” home, then slaughtered and ate it.
Although the employee was reprimanded, “word of the incident was not passed up the chain of command”. However an investigation was eventually launched that gathered enough information to recommend termination of Jim Crosby, the shelter head. He resigned before the recommendation was made. Strangely, the employee responsible for the actual eating is not expected to be terminated.
