School lunches have been on the receiving end of harsh criticism for years, so when Martha Payne, a 9-year-old girl from West Scotland, decided to blog about the questionable quality of the lunches she received at Lochgilphead Primary in Argyll it wasn’t really anything new. The school’s decision to ban her from taking pictures of her lunches, however, was an entirely different story.
Jamie Oliver, who had previously voiced his support for Martha, decided to voice it again via twitter when he heard of the ban.
The school had a sudden change of heart after all the social media attention and decided it would be okay for Martha to take pictures after all. Martha is once again photographing and talking about school lunch on her blog, Never Seconds, and the administration is now back-pedaling and trying to not look like they were strong-arming a little girl.
Check out one of the more pathetic school lunches Payne posted about after the break.
