On Monday, Starbucks announced that Echo owners can instruct Alexa to reorder Starbucks food and beverages for pickup at a store of their choice.
The job is done using a free-to-enable “Starbucks Reorder” skill that will allow you to place a pre-selected “usual” order at one of the 10 most recent stores you’ve ordered from. After linking your Starbucks account, you can simply say “Alexa, tell Starbucks to start my usual order” and select a pickup location. You can even check your Starbucks balance with the command “Alexa, tell Starbucks to check my balance.”
Starbucks has also added voice ordering to their iOS app, though the feature is currently in beta testing with a nationwide rollout (on both iOS and Android) slated for the summer.
