World’s First Crowdfunded Craft Beer Hotel Is In The Works

It appears that craft beer hotels are on the verge of becoming a thing. The latest concept is from Scotland-based brewery BrewDog, which has launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund The DogHouse, “the world’s first crowdfunded craft beer hotel, attached to a brand new sour beer facility” in Columbus, Ohio.

The hotel will reportedly provide “a complete experiential environment in which to truly immerse yourself in the world of craft beer.” This includes beer-themed rooms featuring a tap that pours out BrewDog’s Punk IPA, a mini-fridge full of beer in each shower (!!!), taste tests of limited-edition brews and beer-infused meals. If this isn’t enough, beer-infused spa treatments and a hot tub filled with IPA are also being planned.

The project will reportedly cost around $6 million, and it is hoped that plans will be finalized by June. The Indigogo campaign quickly shot past its $75,000 goal, so there is still plenty of time to contribute to the effort and secure some awesome perks.
