Do We Finally Have a Healthy Pizza That Can Be Eaten Three Times a Day? [Lunch Time]

Using seaweed and red peppers, Scottish scientists at Eat Balanced claim to have developed a pizza that provides a third of an adult’s daily recommended amount of vitamins and nutrients.

Developed by University of Glasgow scientist Mike Lean and entrepreneur Donnie Maclean, the pizza from Eat Balanced is touted as a complete meal, fortified with extra magnesium, potassium, folate, and vitamin A. To slash sodium levels and provide more minerals, Lean added locally grown seaweed to the dough, which also provides vitamin B12 and iodine.

Apparently the news of this discovery has gone viral, especially in England, where websites are abuzz with excitement and the creators are currently in talks with a major supermarket for distribution. Unfortunately, upon hearing that this came from the land of Haggis, and will be sold in the land of jellied eels, many will instantly question its flavor or dismiss it out of hand.
