Six-year-old Na’Ama Uzan is a Toronto local on a mission: for a year and a half, she’s been running a lemonade stand with the hopes of raising funds to help find a cure for Angelman Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that her brother suffers from.
Actors Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney, who are playing Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang respectively in the upcoming Suicide Squad film, were on their way to the movie’s wrap party when they decided to stop by Uzan’s stand.
Courtney noted to CTV News that he was pretty inspired by Uzan’s story:
“We heard about Na’Ama’s story and what she was doing for her brother Nadav and I just think it’s so inspiring. It just shows that there’s there is no act too small when you are talking about making a difference.”
Robbie also chimed in:
“I used to do old little stands like this when I was little,” said Robbie to CTV. “I’d just spend the profits on lollies at the corner store so I’m glad she is doing something far more noble with the cause.”
