USDA Food Pyramid Replaced By “Nutrition Plate”

The USDA announced yesterday that they are replacing their iconic food pyramid with a nutrition plate which will emphasize the importance of vegetables over all other food groups. The purpose of the nutrition plate is to help Americans make healthy choices, get the right nutrition, and stave off obesity.

The new graphic is part of, a recently launched wellness campaign that provides recommendations for healthy eating habits, such as eating less, avoiding oversized portions, and drinking water instead of soda.

In a nutshell the point seems to be making everything smaller, and replacing foods that taste good with those that either have no taste, or taste like an anus.
