A Strategic, Post-Apocalyptic Competitive Eating Card Game

I like board games, and I enjoy the heck out of food – a board game that combines the two sounds very appealing. You can put your game pieces where your mouth is, almost literally, with the Guts of Glory board game.

This card game for 2-4 players includes chewing, swallowing, and spewing in the post-apocalyptic future. You start with cramming food into your mouth, chewing, and digesting. Sometimes the food (on the cards) helps you crush your opponent, but you have to make sure there’s room for everything. You have to consider what stage all the food you have is in, and if there’s not room, you have to spit something out and lose whatever that card offers. I’m intrigued and a little hungry.

The art on the cards and board has a cool and creepy Tim Burton look, and I’d love to see this game become an actual product. There’s a Kickstarter campaign to get it off the ground, and if you not sure whether you want to commit, you can download a free starter deck there to try it out!

Check out the Kickstarter video after the break.
