Captain Ramenica: Official Marvel Ramen Comes To Japan

cr-4

While writing this, I found myself thinking how bizarre it is that the Powers That Be keep asking me to write about ramen. Then I remembered, I write for a food blog. I’d say chalk it up as a blond moment, but I’m a redhead. Heigh ho.

But anyway.

Head to one of the Ippudo ramen joints in Japan and you can indulge in ramen inspired by Captain America: Civil War. Marvel has teamed up with Ippudo to produce a course meal which includes two ramen servings – one themed around Cap and his allies, the other around Iron Man and his band of, y’know, people who think he’s right. The two ramen dishes are served in unique character-themed bowls, which is a nice touch.

You also get dried seaweed with Marvel designs printed on them, and for dessert: Captain America panna cotta. Oh, and you even get a t-shirt at the end, too.

How much does this dining experience cost? 4,500 yen or about $45. The items can’t be purchased separately, so you’ll want to bring friends. After all, that’s what Civil War is about – getting your friends together, and punching them in the face.

Check out photos of the dishes below.
