Here we see International Space Station crew member Terry Virts trapping antacid in a water bubble which turns it into a bubbly disco ball of science. The dissolving tablet grows tiny bubbles that are constantly moving and changing..and totally funky.
NASA used the experiment to test out new video equipment that’s capable of shooting in up to 6K. The camera captured tiny little bubbles expelled from the effervescent ball with incredible detail. NASA plans to use the new camera to broadcast videos from the ISS as well as document continued lab experiments.
Check out the memorizing video after the break.
