I’ll be honest, when I think about heavy-hitting Nintendo franchises, Kirby is not really the first thing that comes to mind. In fact ask me to list Nintendo’s franchises and we’ll be maybe a dozen deep before it’ll even occur to me that the pink puffball even exists.
However Kirby is perhaps much more popular in his homeland of Japan, where it was recently announced via Twitter that a Kirby themed café will be opening in August.

If you’re looking for more information… well, that’s really all we have. It’s a café, it’s Kirby-themed, and it’s apparently opening in August. There’s literally nothing else, not even so much as a menu.
You can keep an eye on the official website or the @KirbyCafeJP Twitter for more details, though you’ll need to be fluent in Japanese (or have considerable faith in Google Translate) to know what’s going on.
In the meantime, you can peruse some of the other themed cafés in the magical land known as Japan.
