Restaurants are finally starting to crack down on food photography, with many establishments instituting restrictions on flash photography or all-out bans. The reason? Apparently the fad has reached “epic proportions”, resulting in a non-stop stream of flashes that annoy the hell out of fellow customers.
“Some people are arrogant about it. They don’t understand why. But we explain that it’s one big table and we want the people around you to enjoy their meal. They pay a lot of money for this meal. It became even a distraction for the chef,” said Moe Issa, owner of Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare.
I guess this means that people will have to find a new use for their iPhone 5.
