When it comes to Italian American cuisine, New York is the king. But thanks to professional chefs Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich, it looks like NYC has some competition.
The cooking duo will be officially opening their 63,000-square-foot Eataly Chicago to the public on Monday, December 2nd. The interesting thing is that Eataly will feature a sizable stand-up Nutella bar where customers can order tons of little dishes that feature the tasty spread. Eataly will also feature an additional 65-seat white tablecloth restaurant–designed by Batali–which will feature fresh pastas, salumi and more. The restaurant will open on December 10th.
Oh, and for the record, there is an Eataly in NYC. However, it lacks the Nutella bar. Something tells me that will have to be remedied very soon.
