Pizza Hut has decided to offer a Super Bowl edition of their new Stuffed Garlic Knots Pizza that is reportedly sprinkled with nearly $100 worth of edible gold.
Why the hell would they do something like this? Well according to the chain’s VP of marketing, it’s because the Golden Anniversary of the Big Game is being played in the Golden State, hence gold pizza. Can’t argue with that logic.
The most interesting part of all this is that customers can’t actually order the golden pie. Instead, it will be offered to 50 lucky customers who order a Stuffed Garlic Knots Pizza on Feb. 7. It will also arrive in a custom gold-colored box along with a $100 Pizza Hut Gold Card.
Potential candidates must be 18-years old and live in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island, Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana, or West Virginia. Strangely, the states that actually have any involvement in the big game have been left out of the offer.
I take back what I said about logic.
