If you love beer and have an extra $7,000 laying around, perhaps you would like to indulge in this walk-in beer cooler known as the “Brew Cave”. In addition to offering four inches of insulation, the cooler also boasts shelf space for up to 30 cases of beer, room for four kegs, and a built-in tap. Too bad it doesn’t come with a spare liver.

No, your eyes are not deceiving you. That is in fact a frozen, ice cream-like foam on top of that beer. Kirin’s Ichiban Shibori Frozen Draft makes it’s debut next month, but for now it’s only in Japan. The frozen foam acts like a litttle lid and keeps your beer cold for half an hour, but that’s not even the best part. It can also be eaten with a spoon just like sorbet. Beer in a bowl. Japan gets all the cool stuff. Please, please, please let this one make it to America.
Watch video of the foam in action after the jump!

Last week we discovered Tallgrass Brewing Company’s 8-Bit Pale Ale, and it turns out that they have a nerdy promotional video for the beer involving a video game made with paper and puppets. It’s actually quite well done.
Will our drunken hero be able to defeat King Keg and collect the hops needed for the next batch of 8-Bit Pale Ale? Find out after the break.

Go on…take one. Just come a little closer.

Tallgrass Brewing’s new 8-Bit Pale Ale is more than just gimmicky branding. It infuses Australian Galaxy Hops at the end of the brewing cycle into an American Pale Ale, which apparently gives the beer “a unique tropical, almost melon aroma in a classic American style”.
It’s the perfect hoppy brew for gaming. Just don’t forget the accessories.
