Bruvelo-Top-Down

Okay, so I’m a bit of a coffee snob, so when I heard about this new smart, WiFi-connected pour-over coffeemaker called Bruvelo, well, I kind of freaked out a little. Yeah, maybe I overreacted a bit (or maybe I’m just drinking too much coffee), but according to its Kickstarter page, the Bruvelo can create a handcrafted cup of coffee from start to finish. This includes filtering and pouring water, weighing and grinding beans and maintaining an optimal brewing temperature (199 degrees Fahrenheit).

It also features a number of preconfigured “flavor profiles” (Delicate, Balance or Robust) and you can activate it using an app. If you pledge $300 bucks now you can get the coffeemaker by June 2015 at the earliest. The Kickstarter campaign still has a ways to go before they hit the $150,000 goal, so if you want to make this coffeemaker a reality, you should probably head on over and pledge.

We all love food and drinks with nerdy themes, especially when it comes from an equally geeky establishment. Unfortunately, going out to eat and being greeted by a nerdy menu is still something of a rare event. We don’t know why, but many places still choose to use the rather boring menu format without a themed-item in sight!

To fulfill our craving for creatively geeky menus, we conducted a search around the world. Here are nine of the nerdiest menus from the United States and abroad. See the menus and some of their deliciously nerdy food and drink after the break!

Going to work is no laughing matter – therefore some humor would be highly valued after you are forced to drag yourself out of bed early to prepare for another day in the florescent, gray nightmare known as a cubicle.

In this case you can enjoy the sights of breakdancing and tech monks doing their thing on these 4 oz teacups from Archie McPhee. However, if you’re in the states, you’re more likely to use this thing to house the ass kicking wake up power of espresso.
