If you haven’t been confused, or had a song stuck in your head today, this post is about to change that.
Once upon a time there was a musician named Piko-Taro, who was actually a fictional character played by Japanese musician and comedian Kazuhiko Kosaka. He took to YouTube to share minute-long ditty entitled “Pen-Pineapple Apple-Pen” or “PPAP” that combines writing implements, fruit, dancing and general weirdness into a catchy, funny and thoroughly nonsensical bit of WTF.
So far, there’s no backstory, but it is described as “to the person whom I do not entrust with music to affect a heart.” Watch it below.
