In order to celebrate their 58th anniversary, Ramen manufacturer Nissin Foods is rolling out a series of special commercials. The first portrays Ramen-creator Momofuku Ando as a samurai warrior, while the second pays homage to popular online videos of the past year, and is entirely baffling. First off, this is the title:
The video offers a total of 20 corresponding “buzz points” that can be spotted by turning on the captions (“cc” box) in the video below.
The goal is to show original Chikin Ramen’s staying power in a world full of fads and trends. We would say mission accomplished.
