Cherry Blossom Cotton Candy Pizza Signals The Arrival Of Spring

Nothing signals the return of spring like the annual swarm of cherry blossom/sakura-related offerings that spread across Japan. This year foodies will be able to partake in a new thin-crust pizza topped with cherry blossom cotton candy and honey-ginger sauce.

The creation is the work of Tokyo-based German restaurant Schmatz. When the sauce contacts the cotton candy, it melts, forming a layer of “goo” on top of the pizza that resembles melted cheese. Best of all, you can reportedly enjoy it while viewing cherry blossoms in the restaurant’s garden. But you’ll have to act fast, as the specials will only be available through April 2.
