The Auntie Anne’s soft pretzel chain is making a name for itself in Japan by offering a constant rotation of seasonal flavors such as strawberry, maple, milk cream and their most recent addition, matcha green tea.
Their most popular item is said to be a 420 yen (US$3.75) Matcha Cheesecake pretzel roll, which consists of Auntie Anne’s pretzel dough with layers of matcha cream and cream cheese cake topped with crushed almonds.
Yeah, I can see why that would be popular.
Beverages are also on the menu, including a 480 yen Frozen Driink Uji Matcha with whipped cream sprinkled with green tea powder, and a 380 yen Uji Matcha Latte.
While the Uji Matcha Latte is reportedly a regular product, the Matcha Cheesecake Roll and Frozen Driink Uji Matcha are limited time offerings that will reportedly stick around only until May 31.
